Back to school stationary essentials! (for high school)

The time has come when we start to stock up on school supplies. These are my school essentials!

So to start off you obviously need a bag, whether its a backpack or shoulder back is up to you.
Then you need notebooks/jotters, these are good to write lists in or quick notes from your classes. If you don't have a planner you could use it to plan out your revision sessions, or to plan out your week/weekend etc.
Third you need a few binders/folders and plenty of plastic wallets! These are a life saver if you like to keep organised and tidy. Keeping your loose sheets from each class in an organised folder helps you find what you're looking for straight away, which makes studying a lot easier.
Having an accordion folder is a great thing too keep, even if you don't use it straight away trust me, you will. Accordion folders are a great way to keep sheets neat, tidy and in one place. These type of folders hold a lot of sheets therefore you can carry all the work you need for a full day of classes and not worry about loosing them or getting them mucky.
So obviously you need a pencil case for school, make sure it's big enough to fit your pens, pencils etc in, however you don't want to be carrying around a huge pencil case which will weigh your backpack down.
Seen as I mentioned stationary in my last essential I guess it brings us on to our next one... PENS, PENCILS AND MORE! The number one must-have for school is a black or blue pen. I know some schools prefer black pens, so whichever suits you. You also need a; pencil, ruler, rubber, sharpener, highlighter and coloured pen.
Now, a scientific calculator is something you need for an exam whether it is math, science, or whatever else, make sure you have one because you invigilator will NOT give you one (or if they do it'll be an awful one.)
Flashcards are always something to carry around with you as they're good to write notes (about your coming up exam/class test) on and flick through them whenever you have free time, this is a must-have if you're studying for a exam/final.
Agendas and Planners! You definitely need a planner so you're organised and know what you're doing. It's a really, really good idea to carry a planner around with you so you can check when your classes are etc. School can get so hectic with different activities, assignments and homework that you have to do so being able to write everything down on a notebook/calendar is huge help. I definitely recommend having somewhere where you can keep all your information, dates and assignments which will keep you organised. Agendas/Planners are they best thing to use.

And finally a book, having a book in your bag to read whenever you get chance is a great idea as it takes your mind off so much and just helps you relax and keep calm. This year i'll be taking 'John Green - Paper Towns' with me to school so I can read this in my tutor time and lunch (when i'm free!). I can also read this in my English class. Reading a book helps a lot with your English work, if you've been asked to write an opening chapter or even a short-story it helps you get used to how different authors use different sentences as their opening to a book.

Good luck everyone, and have fun at school! x
